Let’s stop the proposed development West of Ifield
Latest News
WEST OF IFIELD PLANNING APPLICATION IS LIVE
Homes England has submitted the planning application for 3,000 houses West of Ifield (WOI), and it’s open for comments on Horsham Council’s (HDC) website.
NOW is the time to object. This is the last chance to have your voice heard against the West of Ifield.
We’re not just objecting to 3,000 houses near Ifield. In fact, we’re trying to stop 10,000 houses between Horsham and Crawley to form Crawsham. Homes England have been very clear that 10,000 houses is their “masterplan” and that 3,000 West of Ifield is just phase 1.
You may have responded to the Regulation 19 consultation on HDC’s draft Local Plan in February 2024, and it’s likely you will be able to re-use some / all of your response for the planning application exercise.
You can respond on-line, by email, or by post. You must include your name, full postal address, and the application reference number DC/35/1312
To respond on-line Go to the Horsham District Council Planning & Development portal: https://www.horsham.gov.uk/planning/planning-applications/view-and-comment-on-planning-applications Search under the reference DC/25/1312.
Click on Comments and input your text directly into the form.
Photos and files cannot be submitted via the portal but can be sent as attachments to emails to HDC, with your name, full address and the application number to: planning@horsham.gov.uk.
To respond by email Write to: planning@horsham.gov.uk . Include your name, full address and application number DC/25/1312.
To respond by post Write to the case officer – Jason Hawkes– at: Horsham District Council, Planning Department, Albery House, Springfield Road, Horsham, West Sussex RH12 2GB. Include your name, full address and application number DC/25/1312

The proposed development
Homes England wants to build 10,000 houses and a Western Link Road, across Rusper parish, adjoining Crawley. Despite Homes England calling it a West of Ifield development it is actually a Horsham development, which will impact you and the way you live your live. More cars, less green space - for nature and for us, a bigger fight for doctor’s appointments and that’s only the tip of the iceberg!
BUT IT’S NOT TOO LATE!
We can stop Horsham District Council approving this - together!
The Save West of Ifield Campaign Film
Featuring interviews with local councillors, politicians, and residents, we discuss why we're opposed to the massive development of potentially 10,000 new houses being built on beautiful land.
